Of course their true/demon ages are something completely different. Inuyasha's obviously over 65 years old. He's questioned just how old Shippou really is, hinting that he might be rather a lot older than a prepubescent child. Naraku is probably over 80 or so if you count his original human self.

Oh, yes. But right now there's a huge LJ shakeup about child pornography and how it relates to fan art/fiction. People are getting banned and some of the comms I'm in are re-organizing, so we needed the 'official' ages to protect ourselves.

It's a huge wank!fest and LJ has mishandled it to the point that many are backing up at GJ and IJ.

I think they've pegged Inuyasha wrong. I've always seen his human age posted as at least 17. Maybe they were trying to simplify things since Kagome is 15 as well.
