Ooh, please let me know if you do! I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, especially since I enjoyed our discussion about Ender's Game. ^_^
I'm planning to get the boxset as soon as I can. The animation is gorgeous and deserves to be watch on a full screen. I've also heard the extras are not bad, so it's a worthwhile investment.
Yes, I haven't watched much sci-fi anime, and I think mecha is rightfully its own subgenre. Most of the sci fi premises seem to be far too outlandish without any explanations. Do you have any sci-fi that you enjoy?
Yep, I'll let you know if/when I see any more of it. The intro sequence looks nice, and from what you've said, it must be dealing with scientific things in a way that doesn't sound as if it's basically magic only with a different name, which really is very rare. (Clarke's law of "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" aside. ♥)
Sci-fi anime...Ghost in the Shell, .hack//Sign, Serial Experiments Lain, Last Exile, and Bubblegum Crisis are fine to watch, but I haven't seen much decent sci-fi anime apart from those. Oh, I forgot, Kurogane Communications isn't bad (noooo relation to Kurogane from TRC). Other than those, I've just seen a couple of the usual mecha and robot girls anime, mostly. But making the record for my least favourite sci-fi anime would be Texhnolyze. By a long, long way.
Speaking of Ender's Game, I've heard that the anime series Stellvia has a few elements in common with it, but I don't know how true those rumours are. I suppose I should take a look!
H-HOLY SHIT FUCKS YOU UPDATED! YOU JUST MADE MY DAY. This looks good. I'll have to look it up after I finish this series I just started.
I've been re-watching Trigun and I had forgotten how good that really was, so I'd pimp that to you. :3 Also Oofuri (aka Ookiku Furikabutte). If you like PoT, you will appreciate this anime. YOU WANT SUBTEXT?!?!? THIS HAS MORE SUBTEXT THAN CLAMP.
(also I'm pimping to you Code Geass and TRC you fool. But mostly Oofuri because it is filled with love and all on crunchyroll)
Any chance of you getting on AIM and making my day? ♥ (also, i keep forgetting to comment on your posts. update more so i can make up for this!)
Comments which I typed up in my head but not on the computer until now: Yay, glad you had fun in NYC! Of course Pluto is a planet! And that mnemonic is quite awesome. When is your spring break? Next week by any chance? ._.
Trigun is on my list, m'am. I've heard good things about Oofuri but have not watched that yet because baseball makes me fall asleep. Perhaps that won't be a problem? Code Geass was too much wahhh, I want Syaoran clone and Kamui clone to make out, which was worlds of wrong. I'm waiting to watch TRC with you and Bowee! *bats lashes* Ergo Proxy is made of win. I've seen 4 episode at anime club, must get hands on more. Pino is omg!adorable and Vincet is very cool and Re-L is almost as awesome as you.
hahaha. Reason number 8 to watch Geass? I <3 Kamui. So I <3 this, plus there's bits of Death Note and Esca flavors sprinkled in there. And this scientist reminds me so much of Fai I just have to Nyah~!
OMGDOIT. OOFURI IS LOVE. The sexual catcher/pitcher innuendos should keep you awake. Plus the characters are ALL love. And OBV Pluto is a planet the article just confused me because I didn't think it was officially recognized. Plus, 11? Out of nowhere? UPDATE MORE??! I already spam peoples' friends page everyday, what more can I do?
....wait...you've never SEEN Trigun!?!? WTF I WILL FIX THIS NOW.
ERGO PROXY IS MADE OF EPIC LOVE AND WIN AND CAKE. And more like I'm almost kind of nearly as awesome in my head as Re-L. I really want to cos her some day.
Yes, considering how gorgeous Touya looks in it! So definitely watch Noein! It doesn't have to be right away, especially since I don't recommend only one episode at a time. Good luck with the homework. Do you have a break coming up at all?
I tried Noein a while back (gosh, I was still in Malaysia), but it lost my interest after two or three episodes. Not quite Tutu-esque, but close. Is Noein worth a second look if I didn't make it past the first three?
I know everyone has different tastes so it's perfectly understandable if Noein is not your cup of tea. However, I'd definitely recommend watching at least past the fifth episode, since that's when the real plot starts. I know you're a big math fan, so I assume you enjoy physics too? If so, you should really give Noein another chance. (not biased at all! XD)
If you do end up picking it back up, please let me know what you think!
