as the story goes

Hallo world!  Funny how the air smells so much crisper and sweeter on this side of the web.  Everything is so fresh, so clean.  So new.  Like a snow-filled forest floor, it lies before me, ready for my imprints, the echoes of dances staining the white ground where leaves once died.

I have had dreams, oh so many dreams!  Three nights ago I dreamed ( Read more... )

Hello! So good to hear from you, and to hear you sounding so upbeat and positive. I hope that your Christmas will be a fantastic one, and that my package reached you safely.

Hearing about all those movies makes me excited, although some of them probably won't be out here for a while yet. I'm going to see 'I Am Legend' on the 26th, it's not very festive but it will be fun to go out to the cinema. Have you read the book 'The Golden Compass' is based on?

Your package did indeed reach me safe and sound, and I was even a good girl and waited until Christmas morning to open it. It was fantastic, thank you! I sent yours a week before Christmas, so it probably didn't reach you in time, but if it's not there now I hope it gets to you soon! <3

Moo saw I Am Legend and liked it, though I haven't gotten to see it yet. I still haven't seen Sweeney Todd yet either, and I've been waiting all year for that one! Fingers crossed I'll get to see it this weekend.

I have not read the His Dark Materials trilogy, and wasn't planning to until I saw the film. Now that I've read articles talking about how much theology was left out of the film version, I'm intrigued. Though way down on the list, those books are now on my list! ;) Have you read any of the books? I read that they were very popular in Britain, though not nearly so popular in the States.

I'm not sure when Sweeney Todd is out here but I think I'd like to see it when it comes out, even if from the trailers it's so Burton as to be a cliche of itself ;). I guess that's no bad thing!

No, I've not read the HDM books either, although I've been meaning to for ages. They don't seem like "my kind of thing" tbh, but they've been so popular I think they must have something to offer even people who aren't huge fans of fantasy.

Thank you! Y'know, sometimes you just have to side-step all the shit and make a conscious effort to find the good in life. I have chosen to do just that of late. ;)

I hope to be seeing you soon as well, and I'm glad that things seem to be going well for you and yours out there across the sea. :D
