I have a dress!
Yay!
I went to Meadowhall this afternoon and after a fruitless hour of searching I found it. There is no waist seam because the gown has princess-cut seams. This is a very flattering cut for people such as you and I. ;)
The net fabric is called tulle (pronounced tool).
The top shimmery layer is called organza. Probably. Organza is usually the shimmery one. :)
The long scarf bit is referred to either as a scarf (*snark*) or a wrap.

It's definitely a flattering cut, emphasises my bust and waist and hides all the bad bits (with the exception of my upper arms, but they aren't awful when compared with my tummy anyway). It actually makes me feel quite sexy, which is a miracle in itself...
It says organza in the description, very pretty stuff. Shimmery and pretty. :)
So the curls win - just hope I can remember how to do it, it's been a long time since I've curled my hair, probably 12 years. It's normally wavy bordering on curly and I leave it at that. Actually styling my hair is something I very rarely do.
