So the other day I went and turned on my laptop, which I hadn't been on in a bit of time. It told me that I was at 7% power and I went about my usual routine of plugging the laptop in to charge. Funny thing though, my laptop told me that it was plugged in but not charging. I thought maybe something was wrong with the outlet, but nope that is not

Battery.

Very common for laptop batteries not to hold a charge anymore. You can see if anybody else had another cable like yours to see if it's the cable instead but more thank likely it's the battery.
