I had an older woman (I don't know whether that's relevant, but it seemed so at the time) that came thru my lane when I was a cashier. This was on a Sunday, mind you. She said that since I worked on the Sabbath, I was going to hell for worshiping Satan. I had a thought,and said it. I'm shocked I didn't get in trouble, 'cuz the "lady" was seriously ticked. I said, "If I did worship Satan, wouldn't that be the point?"
Nothing like a good dose of "slap in the face" to shut up the over-righteous.
I can never think of a good zinger like that at the time, and even if I had I would have definitely gotten into trouble saying it. Still, I would have loved to have seen her face. ^___^
