Seems they've edited the disclaimer now. But still, how disturbing. I for one totally fail to see how God would get so upset over people having different ideas of what/who God is, being all allmighty and that.

While I do think that Lucas was putting in the religious themes as alternative ideas, (or different parts of the elephant as he once called religion) it's pretty obvious that he isn't starting a church of some kind. (Although that British Jedi order sounds totally cool.)

They still have the getting rid of the 'Force rubbish' thing which is odd in and of itself. And someone still commented in the reviews (likely the reason why the disclaimer was edited).

I agree, more so when said idea is in a movie and therefore not real!

From what I've read, the Force was a combo of a bunch of religions, but he kept it vague so to keep it simple (Prequels not included, through that does raise the question of why Lucas would introduce a science element to a religion he supposely created and believes in!). Like you said, he's not starting a church or anything like that. Some people just need to take a step back and actually use their brains.

I have no idea what the Jedi Order of Britain does, I just heard it on the news a long time ago that some SW fans put Jedi in the religion box on their, I think, cenenus forms? I thought it was funny.
