Poor Mac. Always being so damn stubborn and self-sacrificing. It's good and noble that he stood aside for the baby, but those last few paragraphs damn near killed me.

*hugs Mac hard and ignores his startled grunt and his polite attempts to step back and make a break for it*

Trust me.. With some 45 stories in the main timeline alone, I can promise you Mac will be just fine. Add the half dozen or so Alt-Universe stories... Some of them aren't instant happiness, but we're all about the fluffy happy endings!
