I should mention up front that I hated this book, I think it's incompetent in the extreme, and if it were just regular reading, I'd have DNF'd within a few pages. Not an angry DNF, just that for me, at a certain number of eyerolls, it becomes difficult to read a book. However, this was a book club book, so I read it from cover to cover.

I enjoy reading thorough, well-documented book rants, so this was a delight! :D

That poetry really is dreadful... XD And, yeah, I found Luis very distracting as a name just in this write-up -- I'm sure it would continue to bug me in the book as well.

LOL, I'm glad you enjoyed! I like writing them too, when they're particularly dreadful - it's cathartic.

I am so glad I'm not the only one with the Luis name. And author lives in CA!! I refuse to believe she is unaware.
