I got a call from the elementary principal, Mr. Paslay, at 10:30 pm tonight to tell me that the school board is hiring someone else. I cried for a while, but it wasn't quite as bad as when I got rejected from the Administrative Assistant to the City Manager position. But it was still bad enough.

I wish I knew what to say to make it better...but I don't know. All I know is that I care for you, and I'm praying that things turn around soon--and maybe if several of us continue shouting at God on your behalf, he'll hear.

hey, maybe God is telling you that Illinois (or that part of Illinois at least) is not where you should be. Just a thought I got from reading your posts.

Thanks, David. But I just don't know where else to go. I've been looking for jobs near St. Louis, up here in northern Illinois, and I've even tried Springfield and Quincy. But there just doesn't seem to be anything for me.

I've thought about moving out of state, but I don't think Chad or I could handle being that far away from our families. I don't know how you and Laura did it. I did look into working at Zondervan in Grand Rapids, MI, but there wasn't anything I was qualified for.

I guess it's just hard to know what to do. I think at this point God needs to hit me over the head with something if he wants me to move farther away. Haha :)
