Easter Ducks

Juannie spotted this Mama Duck and her ducklings yesterday while walking Bess and Rocky. He counted sixteen babies. I got all sixteen in the first photo.

I saw baby ducks for sale, and wondered what keeps them from flying away later on?

We have lots of wild ducks in our neighborhood and while they don't fly very often they can take flight. I don't know how you'd keep them from leaving once they got bigger.

They were going, "No papparazzi! No!" and holding tiny newspapers and Starbucks cups in front of their faces. ;-)

Hahaha! I think if I had gotten too close Mama Duck would've gone into bodyguard mode and chased after me.
