American Goldfinches winter in the South and love the small black thistle seed seen in my parents' feeder in the photos. Our growing season is nearly year-round so I can have flowers all of the time. But it also means that we have to cut the grass 11 months of the year, too. Well, Juannie has to cut the grass!
