the emotions that are going through you. Here in SF the Earthquake in 1989, (tho much less devastating), rattled us very much the same way. All of our senses were heightened. I'm not sure it's something you ever really re-cover from. You pray that you don't have that kind of devastation again, and you go on breathing in and out.
It was heartening to see the parades on TV and know that New Orleans really IS still so full of vitality and determined to come back stronger than ever. Thank you so much for your posts, and for letting us in on your world.

Thanks! I try to be positive and not dwell on only the bad stuff going on here. But the storm and its aftermath is a constant that we just can't escape. Mardi Gras gave all of us who have been here for the months since the storm a chance to again appreciate some of the positive things that make NO our home not just the city that we happen to live in.
