RP Post [Locked to Proto and Chaud]

Proto teleported into the apartment complex network, Chaud still slung over his shoulder. His visit to the Nexus had obviously produced the teen, but in very bad emotional shape. Chaud shivered as he sat up, then looked Proto directly in the eyes...well, visor...and answered slowly. "I saw...him again. An alternate of him." He clung to Proto. "I was so scared," he whispered. "I thought I'd gotten over that fear...but seeing him again just brought it all back...I fell apart. help me, Proto." His tone was pleading, scared.

There was only one person who Chaud could mean using that tone. Proto hugged Chaud tightly, their previous discussion forgotten for now. Must've been the alternate of him I saw when I was trying to get help for Chaud... "It's all right," he whispered softly. "No one's going to hurt you anymore, Chaud. I'm here for you. Right here. Always." He didn't question Chaud's presence in the net, noting that the teleporter had defaulted to take them both there instead of the real world. He'd have to ask about that later. "I'm not going to let you suffer through that again," he continued softly, stroking Chaud's back with a gentle hand. "You are everything to me, and I don't want to see you in pain like this."

Chaud looked pleased and startled at Proto's statement. "Even after I hurt you," he murmured. "I...didn't think you'd want to see me."

"Of course I would," Proto whispered back, holding tighter. Chaud's body was warm against his, and he wasn't inclined to let go soon. "I understand, and I don't want to push you into anything."
