I have to point out that the people who do the close captioning don't get scripts, they write what they hear a lot of the time so their interpretation is not always correct and a small aside, a lot of them can't spell. I'm not even sure a lot them speak English...
To me, it's Cas and will stay Cas. Still love this story. I have that banner in my desktop slideshow and it makes me laugh every time it comes up.
*nods* I know. To me, it's Cas. Like I mentioned with 27-JaredJensen, Cass makes it seem like Cassie, which is girlie. However, the season guides, and the wikis, and everything I've been able to get my hands on that look remotely 'official' says Cass.
I haven't gotten anything, such as direct scripts, but still. :/ So I'm kinda torn now. Because I prefer Cas, but I'm finding more and more stories written with Cass. *clutchy fingers of angsty doom*

This was wonderful! I love the little scene with Cas coming to the logical conclusion that he should be sleeping in Dean's bed (he totally doesn't get it)... and then, AND THEN! Allergic!Sneezy!Dean!! And sheepish!Cas! Yay!
(I don't care what they say. His name's totally Cas. Er, his nickname anyway. I mean, I always assumed the "real" spelling of Castiel was in Enochian script anyway...)
*gryns* it was one of those things... the companion books spelled it as "Cass", so I wrote it that way in one fic, and got my butt ripped for misspelling it.... and then a few days later out came the new season trailer/previews, and i was a wee-bit smug. :) I prefer Cas myself... otherwise my mind tends to read it as Cassie. >.<
Wonderful :D I can't believe I didn't think of this, since I'm allergic to feathers, too... Awesome idea! (But now I'm curious as to why writing this was unusual of you. :o) Everyone was hilariously in character and sick, snarky, confused Dean is my favorite thing. :D ♥

*blinks* I don't think I glanced at Seasons 5-7, I just went off Season 4. I don't like the Cass either, it looks too much like "Cassie". Blech. I originally had it posted as "Cass", but then got flamed like a well-done steak over it, so I went back and flipped it all back to Cas. And shortly thereafter, we got the Season 7 (6 maybe?) with the 'official' showing as Cass, and I about died laughing. XD I'm rotten that way. But I agree, Cas is the shorthand. Why add an extra 'S'?!
I'm not fond of Castiel at ALL. I hate the guy, I really do. So to write (now 2!!) fic with him in it is just soooo out of my normal range. *twitches*

I agree - and Cassie just reminds me of the horrible episode with the monster car and the what-the-fuckery that was Dean falling in love and spilling all the family secrets in two weeks... I wouldn't tell my shoe size to someone I'd only known for two weeks. Or, well, maybe just that. (Sorry you got flamed over 'Cass', though. I don't like it either, but dude, grilling some poor writer over an extra 's' while fics with 'your' and 'you're' and 'waist' and 'waste' mixed up get comments like whoa... :S Come on, fandom.)
Oh, I see :D Well, kudos to you for your dislike not showing at all in your writing! I'm not sure I'd be woman enough to do the same if I had to write about a character I really didn't like...
