Awww, that's sweet! I wish they had gotten to see each other more - because they definitely were the closest twins, while Matthew and Henri were the farthest, no question. Anne and Diana were somewhere in the middle - friends but not super close. *hugs them both*

Thank you. I really wish I could have kept these two closer too, but it didn't work out that way. You're very correct in your description of the sets of twins. Anne and Diana were too different to be as close as Alex and Phily, and don't get me started on Henri and Matthew.

I'm glad I could give Alex and Phily a little moment of happiness.

Well, Anne and Diana were at least friends, and did get along - they had different views of the world, but while Anne wasn't happy with Diana agreeing to obey her husband, for example, she also didn't protest or try to force Diana to do what she wanted - she understood that that was what her sister wanted, and let her be. And Diana also didn't object to Anne campaigning for suffrage, though it wasn't her thing. So no, they weren't as close as Phily and Alex, but they were definitely a lot closer than Henri and Matthew, who...I mean, did they EVER talk after her husband died? Or even for a while before that?

Honestly? I don't think that Henri and Matthew spoke after she went to Matthew's wedding. But by then, Henri realized what Matthew had thrown her to, and she was (rightfully) pissed. Anne and Di respected their differences, but that kept them from getting as close as Alex and Phily, who were two peas in a pod.
