Design Blogs: Follow Up Post

Since my last rant on 10 Things I Hate About Design Blogs, I've been looking harder for blogs that don't fit the mold. It's become very frustrating to find that there aren't many out there. In fact, the only way to find them seems to be to try and find people like myself who saw what was out there and went, ARGH THAT IS NOT MY SITUATION EVEN ( Read more... )

midwife, pregnancy woes, food, doctor appointments, other people's blogs

Umm. I'm not normally one to get all that excited over such things, but THOSE DRAWERS. I WANT THEM. Everything all organized neatly and in one place, it makes something in my brain sigh happily. =w=

Things are organized fairly well in our kitchen now, but... DRAWERS. D:

We've done what we've been able to organize the kitchen how we can--but there's a lot we're not allowed to do (including install something like a roll-out-cart in a cupboard). And just looking at those beautiful drawers that hold 5x the things that ours do without requiring awkward, blind reaching towards the back of a cupboard is just LOVE. It's the standard in Japan, but it's "all new thinking" here in America.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I also loooooved the drawer set-up. I kinda got distracted with the wood XD But it makes so much more sense! No more reaching super high (or in my case, getting a chair) to get things, and no more back-breaking annoying bending, either! His little joke about the hidden food items is my daily bane. I want him to fix MY kitchen!!

I love finding random blogs like that, and for some reason I really enjoy reading Father Perspective blogs. :) I really likes his kitchen, and probably wouldn't have thought anything of the would if you hadn't said anything - gives away the Cabin Theme many MN houses have XD A very normal thing that I'm just neutral on. I prefer that type of wood on center islands and whatnot for preparing meals. Feels homey. Otherwise, I don't know exactly what I like... Anyway, I really liked his writing style, and will probably start frequenting his blog!

I'm really glad you get options for birthing places, because then you get more choice and freedom, versus say you don't like the ONE place you could go to, and already had a bad experience with the OB/GYN... could have been quite disheartening.

I have read Daddy Blogs on and off throughout the years. My biggest concern is how often I like the idea, and the overall substance, but I hate the writing style. In fact, a lot of the parenting blogs I've read and later ditched have all been because of the style of writing. I'm just very picky ( ... )
