Well, I've still been working on that one sketch. It's still going to take a lot of work--I'm not great at working without a reference, and this is a sort of steep learning curve for what I want to accomplish.
I really like where you're going with this, and I love the pose/expression. The "Anji" characteristics you added make her look far more real.
Do you have the adobe suite or anything? Steve was telling me something about how photoshop works in something that translates to pixels, but another program within suite works in whatever turns things into vectors, so you wouldn't have to make it so big. I'm being stupid because I can't remember the terms (as this conversation happened WAAAAAAAYYYY back when you first mentioned working in largeness) but I will get the information after he gets up and tell you the right programs and words.
Yay! Yeah, she still needs work on realism--she's still a bit too sketchy, but it's still in sketch land.
I don't have anything awesome. I have the most basic of basics for programs. And I don't have the cash to shell out right now for anything more complicated, certainly nothing that would allow me to use vectors. =(
Yeah, I've joined a bunch of digital art groups on dA already (though, "bunch" is loosely defined as 4 XD), and one of the main reasons was to get more familiar with what other people are producing, and so on. Also, various tutorials and just general info about the possibilities and which programs do what.
I need new programs stat. Mine are around 2 steps better than Paint. ~_~
Hey, nothing gets more boring than pages and pages of models who all have the same so-called "beautiful" qualities that makes it difficult to distinguish one from the other. Things like nose bumps, crooked smiles, imperfect teeth, beauty marks, etc make people look like people and not just "beautiful."
And your jawline takes a dramatic turn upwards, so if you look from one to the next of these sketchs, you'll see a sort of _| like jaw line. You have more of a / jaw line. It is part of what makes your face look like your face. I have a very weak jaw line that follows the sort of arc of _| except that my | line is VERY short, which is part of what creates a sort of round-face look.

Yarr, I'm definitely liking how the face is coming along in the second image. :D
But you know I'm already loving this concept and such as it is. :P
