I'd go for the shirt/suit combo because it looks more (as you said) smart. It's the first impression that counts. Then when you start working there, you should continue to dress like that until you get a feel for how everyone else dresses and then start dressing like them (if they are more casually dressed).

I agree with Michelle about getting a feel for what others who work there are dressed in just so you don't feel under dressed. If you feel overdressed with the suit, you can always remove the jacket and feel a little more casual.

Heya, Pretty well I had a half an hour interview and then half an hour keyboard test and even though I'm sure I came over as an admin obsessed weirdo maybe thats a good thing!

Very nerve wracking as I've never done that kind of thing ever, I sort of fell into the last job as I was covering for someone on leave who never came back! so yeah I was very nervous but at least thats the first one out of the way! I should know by Friday whether I've got it or not.
