Team: Malkuth
Species: Angel
Name: Arel
Age: Looks 25 (Is about 343) (note to self: 1666 AD)
Gender: Male
Height/Weight: 5'11"/183 lbs.
Occupation: Sent to earth to keep an eye on unchaste humans, Arel took up a job as a bouncer at a club called DeNile. He is most comfortable with this job, as he used to be a gate-keeper in heaven, and a bouncer is essentially the same job.
Fighting style: Arel is a punchy sort of guy. He likes to throw punches more than he kicks. He, is however, poor at blocking and relies on dodging to avoid attacks from an opponent. (However, to keep up appearances on earth, he is handy with a butterfly knife.)
Weapons: His fists, and acid (see below).
Special skills: Arel is able to conjure up about (more or less) 5 gallons of acid per day, any more and he would exhaust himself of astral powers and faint. He, however, tries to use as little as possible to defeat an opponent. This acid strong enough to rend flesh from bone, and while he can summon up and shoot balls of acid towards an opponent, he himself cannot touch the acid, as it would corrode his own body as well. Much like fire, playing with acid is dangerous, and he must keep focussed at all times, as to not let the acid drip onto his own skin. He is able to "float" the viscous fluid a milimeter away from his own skin, and thus uses this ability to perform attacks.
Acid-fists - He summons a thin layer of acid to float around his knuckles, and he attacks his opponent with a flurry of punches, upon contact, the acid melts through cloth and leather quickest, and may take a few shots to melt through metal. (Though, technically, he can coat any part of his body with said acid, he just prefers to use his fists)
Spitting cobra - Similar to a martial art's move, Arel arches both arms up, with wrists bent and fingers pointing forward, then thrusts his hands forward like a pair of striking snakes, shooting small globules of acid towards an opponent, usually aiming for vital points on the face and chest. (Though, technically, he can launch globs of acid with other attacks like chops, slices, and punches; this is the most distinctive one.)
Acid rain - This attack is similar to Spitting Cobra in that it launches small pellets of acid towards the opponent. Arel's wings appear and with a mighty flap, sends thousands of tiny, near-invisible droplets of acid shooting towards his enemy like rain. Like Acid wave below, it is a cone-damage attack, except in comparison, the damage dealt is smaller upon contact. Though, if exposed to the same attack many times, it is much like soaking in the rain, and eventually one would be soaked in acid.
Acid wave - Literally conjuring up a large-ish amount (say, a gallon) of acid and splashing it in a broad wave at an opponent, cone shaped - area of effect attack. Arel is less likely to use this attack as it takes much energy and acid.
Acid bomb- A similar attack to Acid wave, except a ball of acid is lobbed, and opponent may suffer from splash damage, if not a direct hit, is a small-range area of effect attack. For the same reason as Acid wave, is not an attack he uses often.
Acid wall - Similar to Acid wave, except a thin wall of acid is conjured before Arel's body. Shoddy for protection if the opponent bowls through and splashes acid onto his own being, thus is not a form of defense he uses at all; it is more likely to harm than to aid him in a battle.
Likes: Hot sauce, popcorn, hotsauce & popcorn together, dancing, Ruriel (a frequent club visitor)
Dislikes: chocolate, waiting, women with too much makeup on, people who talk too much without listening in return, underaged humans trying to get into his club while he's on the clock, "your mom" jokes.
Personality: Easy to anger, but quick to calm himself- Most who meet Arel seem to think he suffers from Tourettes Syndrome. Prior to an accident (below), he was a loud, amiable, talkative, and self-sure man. But since that point onwards, he has withdrawn into a somewhat unpleasant person. He hates himself a little for not being able to control himself, and thus always tries to appear as he used to, with an additional calm "overtone" (an attempt to change his character); though, with such a short fuse, he often explodes in small angry outbursts, then clams up again into a friendly exterior with many apologies. He is, also, not the most patient being, and has a most dirty mouth. But not dirty enough to sully the name of God. (i.e. "Oh my GOODNESS, I am going to FUCKING KILL YOU!", "Oh my GOSH, what the fuck did you just say, you fucking whore?!") At best, one can describe him as eccentric, and "not too holy", but "still does his gosh-darn job well.. sort of".
Extra info: Arel's wings can be "hidden", and since they hold no real mass, the size that his wings appear can vary from tiny to about as wide as one-and-a-half times his arm span (his wingspan).
The large scar that covers half his face, right arm and upper torso are all of his own doing. The origin of the scarring comes from a fight where Arel got too heated up, and lost control of his acid- accidentally letting it get into contact with his skin. When angry, his powers get just as irrational and unpredictable as he does, and sometimes it backfires. Long story short, in the heat of the moment, Arel summoned up a wave of acid, but unable to control the acid with a clear-head, managed to get a good amount of his own acid on himself (as well as his opponent). He won the battle, worse for wear, but scarred himself for life; and as a result, lives with his mistake with a constant flicker of paranoia that someone is bound to get him riled up enough, again, to hurt himself.
Arel's left middle finger is missing: in a fit of anger, while on duty in Heaven, flipped someone the bird- then, horrified at himself for his sacriligeous action, melted off the offending finger to repent for its sins.
Arel also has a gigantic "crush" of sorts on
Ruriel (played by
Finnimon), a frequent visitor at DeNile. She, however, doesn't know he exists other than as the bouncer of the club.

A final color design (Earth clothes)More expressions of final design..The original sketch - has original wing design, but those can be ignored, the scar sketch is a general idea on where he is scarred on his face/arm/torso. Other than his face and arm, the rest of the scar tissue is not seen unless his shirt's ripped off.
(I will edit in a drawing of his "heaven" clothing, I am still in fits and running into an art block with it)
