There's something called "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. It's a kind of course for creativity.

The centerpiece of this course involves writing "morning pages" - three journal pages every morning. Every morning, no fail.

The idea is to just write freeform, stream-of-consciousness style. And get out the drek that's clogging our minds and keeping us from being creative.

Thanks. That's definitely the kind of thing that I need to be doing. I used to write so much more back when I kept my diary regularly. But, I got to the point where I didn't want to think about the bad things messing up my life, and in trying to avoid that, I got where I could barely create anything. I'm hoping that maybe that will change soon.
