Welcome to Aussieland! Hope you enjoy your stay! What course are you doing again?
Transport - Weekly or monthly passes are good as it's cheaper than buying it daily (but that depends how much you travel). And your place should allow transport concession for international students right? I think it's only in Victoria that it's not allowed.
Yeah, most first week/introduction classes are short, but once the work starts piling it's pretty hectic. And it's pretty common to have one day off a week. I love the humour of some of the professors. I had some who were sarcastic but in a fun way =P But yeah, teaching is v. different to Singapore for sure =P
Unfortunately... They don't allow transport concessions for international students here too *whimpers* But at least it's only a 90cent ride to school... So it ain't as bad XDDD
Oh man, I'm starting to dread what you're saying XDDD Apparently, my 'busy' schedule comes during week 6, and that's when all the assignments are to be handed up XDD Lucky thing about the one day off... And they've got study breaks!! Never had that in the entirety of my education life in Singapore XD
Yeah! I like that sarcasm at times... Heck, one of my teachers has got this really dry sarcasm lah! XDDDD
LOL. "Study Breaks" Would be conducive only if we didn't have assignments due right after them XDD Btw, if you've got time (and some $$) during September break, you should come down for Manifest!! It's a v. different experience from the S'pore Cosfests I must say, and lots more things going on ^^
