When he wakes up, it’s like waking up in a new place. There’s disorientation, as he stares up at a plain tiled ceiling with a fluorescent light just over to his right. Then, as he wakes up more and starts to hear the rhythmic humming and beeping of machines, realization. He’s in a hospital. Then, the question. Why?

This was wonderful! I love Sam and Gabriel and Castiel, and I feel so bad for Dean; the suspense just builds so well and I can't wait to find out how everything develops. I especially love the angels, Jehoel, Forcas, and Joshua, and how you make them matter.

Oh man, I'm loving this so much. How Gabriel is trying so hard to remember Castiel, and Sam deciding to explain everything rather than try and make a go of it, just the two of them. And I just want to *smish* poor Dean, feeling so numb and wrong... And Cas, just awesome, asking Joshua for help and basically running Heaven. I can't wait to read more! <3<3<3

I thought that maybe it would seem too abrupt that Sam just told him without any angsting over it, but I'm planning on coming back and filling in a bit from Sam's POV about that, so hopefully that makes it better. ^__^ Poor Dean, I'm so mean to him. Cas is doing a pretty sweet job in Heaven though, despite being heartsick and lonely. ^__^' Man, I am mean to them! I'm glad you're enjoying it!
