Greetings, Elle! Congratulations on beginning your Pokémon journey! I hope it will be a path filled with honor, friendship and success! My name is Falkner; I am the Violet City gym leader in the Johto region! If you had started your journey here, I would be your first gym challenge.

I am not familiar with Chatot nor Piplup in that they are not indigenous to this region, but I nod in approval for choosing bird Pokémon as your partners. (And... Glameow, I suppose.) They are amazing and versatile, also graceful and powerful.

Thanks! I couldn't agree more - and, you know, I think feline Pokémon are the same way, even if sometimes raising them together can be... Tricky. Haha!

Hello, Elle. I think it would be fascinating to meet a pokémon that can use human language, even if it is mimicry. I do not know of chatots, but I have a pidgey.

Nice to meet you, Elle. I have only been in Eterna City, but Sinnoh is seemingly as good a place to start as Johto.

Icecube's an interesting name for a Piplup... I actually never thought of nicknaming my Pokemon too much. I call them affectionate names at times but they never stick, really. My own Piplup doesn't like nicknames, haha.
