Sunday epic post

Well, isn't this nice for a Sunday night? A little awards-show gaiety, a little spiced eggplant with peas and yogurt, a little blog action, a little knitting action? I could totally get used to this. I even have Greek yogurt and fresh blackberries (on sale!) for dessert ( Read more... )

Aww, yay! I was wondering about you and your church situation. I'm glad you've at least found a temporary place to worship.

I don't have any naming suggestions, but just what is wrong with naming him Legolas? *encourages*

(You had to know that one was coming.)

I did indeed. That crossed my mind, as well, but a) that's a lot of name for such a small kitty, and b) I don't like any of the derivatives (Fitz, William, Darcy). Hmm.

it was soooo wonderful to be back after three Catholic Masses in the last two weeks

Oh, I'm so glad! That church, man. It's so good. I miss it (obviously). Every time I get one of Stacy or Christine's "Missing your CAYAC peeps?" emails, I'm all, YES I AM. But did I tell you that we went to Triple Rock after church while I was home? John suggested it, for old times' sake. It was fabulous. Eat some cheese fries and drink some cider for me, will you?

I'm torn about it--I wonder whether I would regret such a nerdy name later, but it also totally suits him. He's kind of an elfish little guy (also possibly immortal, because of the escaped-euthanasia thing). I am leaning towards it at the moment, but that could change.

Also, I love your icon.

I submit 'Barney' for consideration, but that could be too much HIMYM talking

This only makes me want to name my cat Neil Patrick Harris.

(Note: I am NOT naming my cat Neil Patrick Harris.)

What a beautiful kitty, Liz! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I am so excited for you! And I submit Tucker as a name suggestion.

And yay for finding a church, even if only for today.

Thank you! I have to agree. He's a good-looking guy.

I submit Tucker as a name suggestion.

Excellent. It's going on the list. Thanks!

Glad you maybe found a church.
As for a cat my first instinct is to say "Miss Kitty Fantastico", but a.) it's a boy and b.) you have never seen Buffy so you don't get the reference. My second thought is Harry, as in When Harry Met Sally, but also, I feel like that's a good name for a cat.

Miss Kitty Fantastico

Hee! You're right, I don't get the reference, but it's funny anyway.

Harry, as in When Harry Met Sally

Noted. I will have to see whether he has a dark side.

Hmmm, maybe Austen, as in Jane Austen? While still sounding male.

This is true. It's on the list! There is a definite Jane Austen theme going on here. Not that that's bad.
