I'm taking a short break from Weight Watchers. Just in terms of counting things. I'm still trying to not eat like a total pig so that while "taking a break" I do not actually gain weight. It's just that I've been plateauing for a few months and it's very demotivating. I thought if I just ate "normal" for a while I might gain some motivation to do ( Read more... )

I think when one is dieting, taking regular breaks from it is essential, the same way the Lord set up the sabbath for us as essential. When I last dieted (don't have the courage for it at the moment, so, YOU ROCK!) I could only go 6-8 weeks at a time. Then I would take a week long break or more and decide what my next goal would be. The next 3 weeks until vacation. Or the next 8 weeks until my birthday. Or ... whatever.

I think you're totally doing the right thing. It's important not to get burned out.
