On Houses and Sunlight

I never thought I'd say this, but I kind of wish I'd paid more attention in Archeoastronomy. I kind of blew off a lot of stuff about where the sun rises and sets throughout the year, since I knew a lot of my classmates couldn't hack the math, so I didn't need to know it either.

I ignored the ecliptic when I bought my NE-facing condo. Although the energy profile is favorable, the lack of sunlight made it hard to wake up on winter mornings. I absolutely love living in a south-facing condo now, even though the sunlight sometimes annoys me when I want to look at my laptop on the couch.
