Persons who take an interest in backpacking should read this, even those who have already turned me down for this weekend. Others may skip it.

Rachel, Ed, Mandy, Benj... please respond with a preference, or to let me know that you don't care. Otherwise I'll think you haven't seen this, and then will have to see about learning to use a phone.

In two fridays (the weekend after this one), I have to get my stitches removed (early morning, but if something is wrong...). Apr. 13th I have an internship thing in Springfield. The 22nd, Ed and I have theater tickets. The first weekend in April seems clear, that's the 7th.

otherwise, I am not sure that I will be able to do anything until school is out, so it might be best if I plan on not being there...

The first weekend in April actually looks the best to me. I don't suppose Good Friday (the 6th) is conveniently a holiday for Ed and Benj?

Actually, it is a holiday for us.

I'm perfectly fine putting it off - whatever works for you.

Also, um, the only Garden of the Gods I know about is in Colorado...

Would April 6-8 pose a problem for you? I know that's during passover, so we'd obviously have to plan food accordingly, but I want to make sure it wouldn't conflict with any holidays you want to be at home for or will be fasting for.

I *think* that should be doable - we should be back from D.C. by then and I can't think of any plans.
Passover will make food tricky....but the only time I fast is Yom Kippur in September/October so we're okay there.

Next weekend is fine for me, but the long weekend of Good Friday is better. As was said before, I have Good Friday off of work. I have orchestra tickets the Thursday before Good Friday, so I'd prefer leaving Friday morning to Thursday afternoon/evening. I've never Passover hiked before, but I don't think it should be much of an issue at all. I'll just bring sandwiches on matzah instead of bread, and having a second person also doing the Passover thing will make it easier. Getting out to REI sometime between now and going hiking sounds like a good thing. Next weekend, perhaps.

(Am I making things up, or is the Thursday before Good Friday called Maundy Thursday?)
