I had that done a few years ago, and I remember it being very uncomfortable, but not painful. They had to keep starting over because I couldn't keep my tongue out of the way. If yours is less spastic than mine, it probably won't be a big deal at all.

I've had a couple of resin mini-fillings (from normal wear-and-tear and aging molar seals from childhood). I agree with not getting any tooth material removed unnecessarily, but I have been very happy with the results of mine. I can rest easy knowing that there are no tiny bits of decay waiting to turn into a real cavity, and the dentist built up the surface on one of my molars so my bite is more even.
