R.I.P. Uncle Scooby
A good friend of mine passed away early this morning. Eamonn called me at work to tell me that David, one of the core members I lived with for my whole time in L'arche passed away around 1am. I'm really sorry for your loss. Maybe it's trite, but he was an old man and I'm sure it was his time to go. It probably doesn't make it any better, but at least you spoke to him recently. The last time someone I cared about died, I knew he was sick and didn't say goodbye because I thought I would have another chance. And David is lucky to have someone like you who won't forget about him---and isn't that what we all want to leave behind in the end? People who'll remember we lived?
