Wendy and Lucy
I finally saw Wendy & Lucy tonight.
No doubt in a million years that Kelly Reichardt is my favorite film maker. The whole Muncie, Indiana thing was a a really nice touch.
Its just so damn neutral. And the $6 handoff is brilliant.

Its interesting to read all of the people who hate it on IMDB. They aren't wrong... they are just looking for something else in a movie than what I'm looking for.
They bitch about Michelle Williams' character not being likable and not making smart choices... and there being a lack of explanations for things.... while I really like the neutrality. Now I just want to see Ballast.
I'll be interested to hear what you think... and to find out who Wendy reminds you of in real life... I'm wondering if we'll come up with the same person.
