...and what a miserable piece of 104 it is, too. Hmmph. I can't believe I'm posting this shameful, shameful piece of work. *sneers* IS THIS WHAT AVATAR HAS DONE TO ME? I CAN'T WRITE SHONEN-AI ANYMORE BECAUSE OF SOME VERY MUCH UNDERAGE HET ROMANCE? DDDD8
Also? This very much sounds like a rip-off of "Ten Things I Hate About You." Except it isn't.
01. In Doumeki Shizuka’s life, there are many things he wishes he could hate.
02. But he is simply unable to do so.
03. For instance, the love of his life.
04. It isn’t as if he particularly wants to hate Watanuki Kimihiro so much as he wants to hate that it’s Watanuki Kimihiro who is the love of his life.
05. Because the fact is that if this is the love of his life, Doumeki Shizuka will have to make some serious revisions to his plans for the future.
06. Watanuki Kimihiro, it seems, is incapable of common sense and self-preservation.
07. Also gratitude.
08. Which is ironic considering that all those things are the qualities Watanuki Kimihiro laments that Doumeki Shizuka doesn’t have, so that means the two of them are either a perfect match or headed for disaster.
09. Doumeki Shizuka wants more than a storybook romance, because those are trite and unrealistic, but neither does he want a Greek tragedy.
10. Which is really unfortunate, considering the ways things are now, because that looks to be exactly where his love story is heading.
--
01. Watanuki Kimihiro is caught between a very hard truth and a very comfortable lie.
02. He is not sure which is more terrifying.
03. He’d like to believe in the lie.
04. But the fact is that it’s a lie and he knows better than to let himself fall prey to such foolishness.
05. Which leaves him with the truth, and that’s almost as horrible because it’s the truth, damn it all.
06. He does not, does not, want to be so unwillingly bound by powers beyond his control.
07. But that, it seems, is the story of his life.
08. It seems he will be forever doomed to servitude of some form or another-Yuuko-san’s slave labor, Doumeki’s appetite, hitsuzen’s not funny sense of humor-which is only the least unsettling part of the truth.
09. The most unsettling part of the truth is that he is not so very unsettled by the truth.
10. Maybe, in some way, he has been ready for this all of his life-but that doesn’t mean Doumeki won’t hear about it for the rest of his.
There's ten for Doumeki and ten for Watanuki. So really it's twenty facts. But. Yeh.
