If someone's language was a deciding factor in whether or not they have the right to live where ever the fuck they want, then her family would've stayed in Europe.

She also thinks I spend too much time going to doctors because they are invested inmy being sick. As if I wouldn't have asthma, depression or high cholesterol if I just didn't go to the doctor. And instead of trying to get on a normal sleep schedule for my insomnia, I should just take a night shift job. I've pointed out that if I didn't do maintenance on my cholesterol and my asthma i'd qiote possibly have a heaart attack or just stop breathing. And that night shifts are actually bad for people with insomnia, contributing to the initial problem. But she knows better. She thinks I should just drink and get a night shift. I told her that when she got her medical degree I'd listen to her medical advice.

I can't stand people like that either. I have to hear daily/weekly (not really directly face to face, but just all around me at college and sometimes when I'm out and about) about how I'm not "American" enough because I "lack" the "American" look and because of my accent. Yes, I know that I talk a bit slow but that does not mean that I can not understand English. Jeez.
Also, I am not a terrorist because of my name.
