Reading lists and New Year's resolutions...

Dec 31, 2009 14:49

January 31st and I have read ninety-six books. That makes me four books short, and while I could probably fit a book in for today, I feel reasonably certain that I can't fit four in. (Hey, playing with the puppy eats into reading rime!) It means my New Year's resolution will be to read one-hundred books next year.

I've only had a couple of ( Read more... )

Good luck with your goal for 2010! :)

Do you have a good reads account? I have one and it helps me find books that I want to read as well as keep track of books that I've read. Granted, I don't have EVERY single book that I have read on the site, but it's a start. Plus, there are free book giveaways on the site (in fact, I won one this year).

I have an account there -- but I haven't used it in forever. I need to get back and work on getting my books listed.

You really should use it. :)

Good luck in getting your books sorted out.

Good luck with your 2010 challenge!!

There is going to be a Hunger Games movie, and I think Suzanne Collins is writing the screenplay. I really hope they get the movie right.

Also, Captivate is the sequel to Need :)

I'd heard that about the movie, too. And from what I hear, the production company is one that really hs integrity, so I'm hoping for the best.

Is Captivate out? And if so, have you read it? I'm hoping it measures out the flaws of Need.

Oh, I didn't know that about the production company. That's really reassuring!

No, Captivate isn't out yet. I stumbled upon the title while browsing Amazon. I'm not sure if I'm going to run out and get it though. I'll probably wait to see what other people think of it. I really hope the flaws of Need are addressed too.

Ugh I wish I had the time to read that much! I only got 17 last year, but I'm going to make a real effort to read more this year. I love it and I can't let myself lose the habit.

I read twice a day regularly -- at lunch for about fifteen minutes and at night before I go to bed. Being an insomniac, I get a lot of reading done at night. But that's changing, since I am sleeping better, thanks to Ambien, the chiropractor, and light therapy. I guess whipping the insomnia is another goal for 2010. I can make up the reading elsewhere.
