Great seeing you here again! I miss fandom on LJ. Twitter is just not the same; I still feel uncomfortable fangirling there, there is no community feel and it feels too much out in the open, near the general public. I am trying to move away from Twitter and I do like hanging around at Mastodon, but LJ will always have my fandom heart. For me Discord is too isolated and Instagram is connected to the real world, but I do enjoy looking at your art there:) I'm not into OFMD, but I'm so happy you found a new inspirational show!
Your plan for doing fandom and reading on weekends sounds great, I may have to try that to get some regular reading in, the past year I've mostly done my reading at lunch time at the office, but it's not ideal for really getting into a story. Fff... I actually did get your card! It was so pretty and intricate that I put it up on cabinet instead of hanging it up, and I completely missed it when I was writing down who I got a card from. /o\ Thaaaank you!!
Yeah, I miss fandom on LJ as well. Like you said, Twitter feels uncomfortable, and often just feels like shouting in the void. I like posting my art on Insta, but it's also not really a place to fandom. I find Mastodon waaaay to complicated, and I really don't like all those different places, so that's not for me. I do like Discord, but it can be difficult to find your spot, and I do get what you mean with it being isolated.
Haha, i don't know what it is about OFMD but it totally grabbed me. I hope you'll be able to find a show that you'll love. BTW... did you hear that Eric Szmanda is coming back as Greg in CSI: Vegas? I'm very excited about that. :)
Yeah, the assigning of reading on saturday and drawing on sunday is the only way I get myself to do it. even though I love doing both. I haven't been able to finish a book ( ... )
