Love, love, LOVE these! SO much detail, bb, I love it! Not only the gorgeously rendered fur (it looks so soft -- how did you even DO that?) and whiskers, the wee pink nose, but even the tracery of ear veins. The ratty posture and humped body shape in the first one is spot-on, but the portrait, OMG . . . I'm in love! He's one handsome rattie. You've even captured that glimmer of ratty intelligence in his eye. (And it's probably just me anthropomorphizing again, but he looks so . . . happy. Pleased, even.) Pencil magic, you work it. Gorgeous art!

Lots of blending with a tissue, and lots of layering. :)
