My brother's always told me Ad-Aware, and he's the computer expert, so that's what I use. I've heard it's helped others (after I've recommended it). I haven't noticed much myself, despite how much crap it tends to find :p I probably need to run it again, though.

Ad-aware fucked up my computer last year:( I don't use anything at the moment, since I started with a clean disk on my birthday. I plan to reinstall ClamWin and Spy-bot

Spy-bot sounds interesting. Might check that one out. I used to use Ad-Aware and never had problems with it, but after the last re-install last year I never installed it back. We have Windows Defender and SpywareBlaster installed, and they seem to keep the computer relatively clean, but I'd like to scan the computer once in a while, just to be sure, you know?
