I was going to say something about how assholes are something almost everybody has, and, while they are definitely useful (and even sometimes fun), they are generally dirty, dumb, and annoying. But then I remembered a conversation with a resident in proctology who raved about how a simple sphincter can pass solids, gasses, and even liquids, usually without getting them mixed up. So they're not that dumb.

A rotting corpse? A no-good rotting corpse-fucker? Dung-eater? Kitten-kicker? Sleepwalking simpleton? Molester of baby rabbits? Spawn of a jackal and a guinea worm? Doubleplusungood?

My ex-wife once gave me I Have No Gun But I Can Spit: An Anthology of Satirical and Abusive Verse, with an inscription wishing that we would always have something to say to each other.

Stanek? Pathetic lying jerk; gender irrelevant.

As to the use of "cunt" as a pejorative: I was at a WorldCon one year when I heard Norman Spinrad use that term to describe a con security person doing her job (badge check); and I lost a great deal of respect for him, since it was gratuitous (the badger's crime was in not recognizing the spouse ofSome Big-Name Writer, and asking to see a badge). If Spinrad thinks Big-Name Writers and their spouses deserve special privileges, he's been going to too many ComicCons and DragonCons, and not enough actual SF cons.
