I would like to watch other movies with my spouse, but he's not interested.

I like explode-y fest more than the next girl, but I'm tired of the damn comic book movies.  Thor was not good.  At all.  I enjoyed Captain America slightly more.  But all the comic book movies I've seen this decade--with the exception of Spiderman and the first Ironman have ( Read more... )

I never understood the appeal of humiliation humor. I had enough of that in school, I don't want to see it on the screen.

Some of Bridesmaids was very funny. Others, I was like, really? You want to go there?

I thought the cop was adorable. That was one of the places in the movie where I lost it, yelling at what'shername's character, where she walks out on him the next morning.

I just watched Captain America a couple days ago and didn't like it. It felt like a prequel to the Avengers movie. I can suspend belief a bit for plot devices, like an invention that will enable someone to take over the world, but can they at least maintain the historical accuracies? Television had just been invented but there's the guy with a lot of tv's and even security cameras. So much for being in the 40s.
