If trying on clothes doesn't make me suicidal, I think I'm doing pretty good today.

{{HUG}} Thought for the day: I heard somewhere that high-fashion designer types want anorexic models because (a) they're mostly gay and (b) they're looking for models that resemble boys.

I have no idea whether it's true or not, but it's plausible.

It isn't the curves, hon, it's the distribution, which is genetic.

My coworkers tease me (gently) about rarely stepping outside of a fashion box. My response to that is that I have found what works on my body type and what doesn't and I avoid what doesn't work. It makes shopping hard when the store buyers go heavy on trend items because that's never what I buy.

Right now I want to bitch slap whoever decided that tissue thin knits in layers were the way to go.

The trick is to take someone brutally honest with you and find what works on your body and go with that in colors and fabrics that make you feel great. Don't let yourself get mentally bashed by a number on a tag.

(hugs) I know how hard that is to actually accomplish, so may the good shopping foo fairy go with you!

Ahhh, it's not the clothes, it's the woman inside 'em! I hate buying clothes. They never have stuff makes you look like Aragorn or anything.

I tried on clothes two weeks ago because I did not have a single pair of jeans that fit.

I am STILL shaking.
