It sort of puts me in mind of the year that I decided to keep Lent as my persona would have kept it... more or less. Thanks to the wonders of modern refridgeration, I had access to a wider variety of produce.
Did it help or hurt me?
Well, I did get more anemic than usual, which is saying something. I was a little more tired than usual.
It was also during this time that I finally made the decision to leave my ex-husband. I guess the time of reflection and introspection made me realize that I had done all I could, in both God's eyes and my own, to keep my marriage together, and that my ex-husband was being far more demanding of my perfection than God ever was.
I support you in this experience, totally. Share what you feel you can, and cherish the entire episode of your life.
