[Megumi approaches her husband softly, having heard him dictate his thoughts. She herself is worried about many things . . . Kuromi-san's disappearance . . . and now, Ken-san's pending duel with Shishio . . . It is as if all the troubles are coming all at once, and to all those closest to her.]

[She sighs, lowering her eyes a moment. Upon reaching Mitsuhide, lays a gentle hand upon his shoulder.]

Anata . . .

[She hears his thoughts of Nobunaga, and of his role in history, and she bites upon her lip, raising her hand to stroke his hair, both to comfort him, and to seek comfort herself. He is so noble, and so just, and she loves him because of that, and because of all of him--because he is himself . . . and the thought of him suffering makes her heart hurt . . .]

[Megumi takes a deep breath before speaking softly.]

Feeling restless, my love?

[A soft sigh. Does Megumi know Nobunaga's fate? Of what happened to himself? But of all people, he most definitely won't ask her. Of all people...]

Very much so, Megumi. I don't know why. Just this odd feeling...

[He shakes his head. The feeling is connected with Nobunaga, and that worries him to the core. He won't say that, though.]

Mmm. I wish I knew what to do to calm it.

[Megumi sighs again, continuing to stroke his hair, allowing her touch to soothe, to linger, to reassure. She is unsettled herself, for another reason--he mentioned in his thoughts returning to whence he came for a while, and Megumi has dreaded that time for as long as she can remember. She knows her people's history, and knows the hardships that will still come his way. She cannot bear to lose him, nor can she bear to see him suffer . . . though what he will do is for a just cause . . . for peace. To free a country from tyranny. Still . . . the thought of the trials that he will endure . . . for duty, for justice, for peace . . . She loves him for his nobility, but at the same time, she worries for his safety . . .]

[Heaving a deep breath, she wills herself to be strong for him, holding on to her faith in his words, in his promise. Everything will be alright--they will make it so. He promised, and she believes, without question, without wavering. She has faith.]

There is much to be restless about right now, unfortunately . . .

There really is...

['Doing what we can.' 'Searching, waiting, watching.' He bites his lips briefly, those words really hitting home. Is that all he can do? Wait and see? If he goes back home, to that problem, will he be able to come back? He cannot stand the waiting. He has a promise to keep... and maybe a duty to fulfill...]

Though... mmm. Restless... ah, love, I am sorry. I wish I could get this off my mind. Thoughts consume me right now, I feel. Ones on which I should not dwell.

[A smile, though it is somewhat weak. Something is going to happen soon...]

I love you. So much. No matter what, that will always be true, Megumi.
