-Steal is not only useful now, but it's almost neccessary for making money. Money is tight in the game and stealing from every monster almost doubles your income. Gil is far more important in this FF than any other so far as you have to buy spells and techniks.
-Buff abilites like protect and shell are now worth something because they last BETWEEN BATTLES. Since there is no distinction between being in battle or out of battle, you can cast a buff spell once and fight 8 different monsters before it runs out.
Goddamn, I need to remember that shit. I barely use buffs and steal.

-Opening a potion and throwing it at someone no longer takes as much time as weaving a spell capable of calling comets from the heavens to rain firery death upon those who oppose you. I played X-2 for maybe an hour before I decided to stop. It was light on story and heavy on Charlie's Angels. I may revisit it just to explore the combat system a little more. I remember thinking it was fairly hectic/hard to follow, but I thought the same of FF12 until I got used to it.

Yeah, the story isn't much, but as a game, X-2 is one of the better games in the series.

Also- I *know* X-2 let you pause/skip some story events, but not others. Maybe X as well, but I don't remember.
