The sunset-coloured roses which had an appearance in my stories once are taken right from real life - I just smuggled our own rose tree into the story. ;-) Having them in front of my nose all the time made describing them very easy indeed! *g* Sunrises are great (both for the symbolism and the beauty) - I like using sunrises or sunsets in stories, too.

I'll bet! And it's probably something that means something to you. Or at the very least, it's something you enjoy, which means that in describing it in story form, you can give it a personal feeling beyond just a narrative description. That's the best kind of imagery.

Yeah, they're my cheap way of creating metaphors if I feel I need one. :) Plus they look good, too.
Hehe, I usually think I'd be able to identify people's stories until they happen to write something for the Teitho contest and all my guesses are completely wrong! *g* It's especially embarrassing if it's an author I think I know by heart. Perhaps it would make things easier if all Teitho authors had to do this meme! :D
Good, it seems I've hit the nail on the head then. I found this meme more difficult than I though I would. *g* Thank you! Those are certainly the two things I enjoy most about writing. ;-)
This one *is* a hard meme. I sat down last week thinking I would try it and drew a big blank except for "Has lots of h/c". Well, that's hardly unique--lots of authors have that! LOL
LOL! It took me quite some time to do this meme, too! What helped me a bit was staring at the list of my stories posted on ff.net and wondering what they all (or most of them) had in common. Hehe, h/c with a certain ranger at the receiving end of it definitely makes me thing of your stories, so I#d say you're on the right track! :D

If there are detailed descriptions of sunset-coloured roses in the story, you can bet it is from me!
I think we've all got some image in our head that's easy to describe and that sticks with us. Personally, I'm a sucker for sunrises. :)

I agree. It's fun to insert something from RL into a story and it makes the story seem more... well, real. *g*
