something to do with the last supper obviously. but deeper then that I don't know. im eager to find out though.

Goin' by the way the Last Supper is compared to this...
...each group can be divided into three, though there are few Minutement than Disciples.
...both Judas and the Comedian have their elbows on the table. Judas betrayed Jesus, and the Comedian tried to rape Sally.
...Sally, obviously in the "Jesus" position.
...Thomas & Sally's Husband are both upset (and to the right of the central figure).
...Matthew & Captain Metropolis are both turned away from the central figure (Jesus, Sally).
And, added bonus, it looks like Hooded Justice is feedin' Captain Metropolis - is that who he had the relationship with?

Very good, now, Sally's husband is substituting for who in the painting?
Also, Comedian is in place of three different apostles! (Bonus points for picking out why for each one)
Yes it was Hooded and Metropolis, both gay couples intermingled to hide their secrets.
Still more to it though.

Like I said, Sally's Husband is the "Thomas" of the supper.
Three for the Comedian? Just a guess, but I'd say Andrew (surprised), Judas (betrayer) and John (swooning).
More to it...
...Sally's retirement - she sacrificed her career as a Silk Spectre to be a mother while Jesus sacrificed himself for humanity.
...Nite Owl, I know there's something I'm missin' here, but I'm guessin' it has to do Philip from the painting.
...and there's the landscape paintin' behind Sally, which may be mirror the window behind the table in The Last Supper.
