For Damion and Arthur

The fact that Arthur was tagging along was something of no consequence really, or rather it shouldn't have been. The vampire, at least, did not care to make any show of his disapproval in Arthur accompanying him to a din of other, decidedly more dangerous vampires than himself. Though, that was perhaps a misnomer. Percy was not exactly the 'safest ( Read more... )

Arthur twists his mouth into a smirk as he takes one last drag off his cigarette, before dropping it to the pavement and stubbing it out underneath one bright blue leather shoe. He begins to let out a small laugh at Percy’s admonition that he not draw attention to himself, but manages to turn it into a cough.

Percy doesn’t wait for an answer, so he doesn’t give one. He just follows him into the club.

Percy led the way, stalking more than walking with grace. He spared the occasional glance back at Arthur, with a hiss at anyone who dared to come too close to the taller mortal.

The club was like any other club in New York, except for rather glaring differences. The undead seemed to outnumber the living, and the smell of blood was understated but ever present as Percy turned and eyed the groups of people that flowed about. More than a few turned to eye him, more from the unhindered rumors about him than because he was a pretty boy. Angelo's humiliation was not light news...

And likely less welcoming for Percy than he could imagine.

"Damion," he growled impatiently, eyes searching over the heads of dancers and mulling cattle as he huffed a bit.

Damion did not make it a habit to come when called and this time was no exception. He did not appear at the younger vampire's side when Percy growled his name.

But if a break in the crowd happened to reveal Damion leaning languidly nearby up against his own bar? That was just coincidence.

So he caught sight of Percy at about the same time and curved his lips up into a welcoming smile. "Percy." His gaze shifted over Percy's shoulder to Arthur, "and friend."

The scene sort of made Arthur nervous. There was something sort of odd about it that he couldn’t quite describe. They way people were looking at Percy…and him. Especially the way they were looking at him. He was sure if he liked this sort of attention.

'Hi,' chirped Arthur to the man. Not quite up to par with his usual enthusiasm when meeting a new person, but still pretty cheerful considering.
