Penny saved is a penny earned.

You owe me, Damion had said as Percy had moved toward the door, I could have left you to die. The implications clear in Damion’s tone. There wasn’t much to it, really. The simple words that implied the vampire wasn’t free to just leave town when he wanted.

Damion always had his favors repaid.

Dressed in his new clothing, he stepped out of the club, eyes dark and distant as he looked about the dark alley with a disinterested air.

“Hey,” the voice caught his attention, so that he turned to look back at the door to see the blond haired boy that hovered about Damion when given the chance. “I just wanted to tell you…Your friends were looking for you.” He didn’t say more before he disappeared, the large Russian Vampire soon peering out the door before calling out for the boy in a rough English.

Looking for him? Friends? He expected it to be Alex, but if that had been so, he imagined the boy would have been in the room as Percy awoke. So…who? Blinking he started to move away, feeling sore and weak as he grunted and walked.

There wasn’t a point in lingering.
