Fandom: Hah. None. Only my own fandom in my head. lol.
Prompt: 60 - Leathery
Warnings: some swearing and some sibling bitching, also talk of blood.
Rating: PG, I bet. Tell me if I'm wrong.
Summary: It's at least a week since
Muzak and Renée is acting a little...weird.
A/N: Hehe. Soo since I love this "world" and all in it I decided that I'd make a journal just for it when I saw some people had done just the same and yes, I'm a lemming. Bite me. :p Now I can tags my stories with what characters are in them and such. :D And a layout just about them and 15 avis just for Silent Wish. *Grins*
Also hehe, I think I'm going to use it for NaNoWriMo again this year. Something is simmering in my head for a possible 50 k thing. Okay, so last year I only got a lil' over I think 20 k, but I get closer and closer each year. :D Plus, it's all about the fun. :)

missy-peregrym.org. The fonts are Christopher Hand by El Stinger @
dafont.com and then just good old Times New Roman. The background is this pattern I downloaded from somewhere which I can't seem to find now, but it's called RubelCreative_FloralPat and I think it was done by this person:

"It's kinda of leathery." Aidan told Renée, who was showing off her brand new leather pants. There was still a chill between Aidan and Jay but Renée seemed to have forgotten all about what almost teared them apart. That might sound overly dramatic, but that's just the truth. Jay hadn't talked to Aidan since that day they talked in the elevator and that's kind of difficult when your supposed to be working together.
"Well, that kinda is the point of something made out of leather, silly." Renée told her half-brother and gave him that 'silly' look of hers that he had been getting a lot lately.
"Why did you buy them? I didn't think that was your style. Leather." Aidan told her, while she looked at her reflection in the mirror. She was one sated vampire. At least it was day and she could have only taken some blood from the fridge. It was not like he was all for this humane way of getting their food, but he knew for a fact that Jay & Renée had been going out at night doing god knows what. Why Jay wasn't also upset with Renée was beyond Aidan, after all she had totally used Jay to get back at him.
"I wonder if Jay'll like them. What ya think?" Renée asked him, ignoring his question but he was pretty sure she had still answered his question in a way. She seemed to have some kind of fixation with Jay since that... incident in the great room. He didn't know if she was doing it on purpose or if it was something sub-conscious. He kind of hoped it was the latter.
"I don't know. I haven't really been paying attention to what fabrics he likes on people. Listen, I've got to be getting to work. Bye." Aidan told her and turned away to walk out of her bedroom and into the hall. He was next to the walk-in-closet next to her room when he heard something that made him stop in his tracks.
"That's probably because your too busy looking at his ass." Renée told him, with a biting tone in her voice while holding up a shimmery, light-green top to see how it matched with her new pants. Eh, not so well. Thrown over her shoulder, to the floor.
"What, what did you just say?" Aidan asked his half-sister who was just carrying on like she hadn't said a thing.
"Oh, come on. It's pretty damn obvious. Like anyone didn't know. Hey, I'm not saying anything is wrong with it but Jay told me that there hadn't been much going on since I got back. And that was like what a year ago or more. Still nothing? What, did I break you two turtledoves up or something?" Renée asked him, as he stepped back into her room and glared at her. If looks could kill , she'd be toast by now. As old and tired as that saying is, it's still as true as ever.
"He told you that? Well, it is kind of hard to keep anything going when your object of desire is interested in your half-sister. I know we're not human and all that, but that is still freaky." Aidan told her, but she just rolled her eyes and started getting the leather pants off. That'll take a while because they looked almost like they were painted on her. Talk about skin-tight.
"Well, he didn't know about the half thing. He just thought I was your adopted sister. Plus, you might have never been human but me and Jay were once." Renée told him with a grin and this evil little glint in her eyes.
"More like kidnapped little sister." Aidan muttered to himself as he followed Renée into her dressing-room while she looked for the jeans she had been wearing before the leather pants and when she dragged Aidan in for his his opinion.
"What did you say?" Renée turned back to him and looked at him kind of with a raise eyebrow. Off course she had perfect hearing like the rest of them and muttering around her or any one of them was not a great idea at all.
"Nothing. Doesn't matter and I'm not even going to touch the human thing except for one point. You probably were always a half-breed. never quite either or." Aidan told her, and that that bit of info kind of gave him a jolt of adrenaline or something because he almost misses the tears building up in Renée's eyes.
"I'm telling Dad you called me a half-breed." She just told him, before biting her lower lip in her jeans and purple sweater with her hair in a ponytail. Great, now she looked as innocent as a vampire could get.
"Are you kidding me? He's not even home." Aidan told her, but she just ignored him and walked out of her dressing-room into her bedroom where she picked up her phone and called Gabriel at work.
"Dad? Hi, sorry to disturb you at work but Aidan just called me a half-breed." Renée told him through the phone and then nodded a few times with little uhuh's before handing the phone over to Aidan. This was going to be fun.
"Aidan. What are you doing still at home calling your sister hurtful names when I asked you to come in on a Saturday. Can't I trust you for anything?" Gabriel asked his son, who just sighed and wondered if he was getting a headache from all the drama.
"She started it. I was on my way, when she pulled me in to tell her how good she looked in her new pants. Don't ask. Then she started on the whole at least her & Jay had been human at one point. I was only making a point." Aidan told Gabriel who uttered a small Hmm after Aidan's little speech.
"Just get here and say you are sorry to your sister. The he/she started it excuse only works if your 5. It's been a long time since you were that young, so grow up." He only told Aidan who clenched his teeth together almost enough to crack a few teeth so he wouldn't say something really bad.
"All right. I'm on my way. Good bye." Aidan bit out and hung up the phone to see a contemplative Renée sitting on the end of her bed. He was so not saying he was sorry to her because he wasn't and she had been a half-breed. That cup of warm blood he gave here when she was younger and he got hell for from their parents, she had totally liked it before the cup was yanked away from her.
"You know, you can be such a bitch. What the hell happened to you the last year to make you like this?" Aidan asked her and she only stuck out her tongue at him and turned into a black & white cat. He bet that cat had some claws that could do some serious damage. But said cat jumped of the bed and left her bedroom. He followed her out and saw it take the stairs to the fifth floor where very likely Jay was still asleep in his bedroom.
Great, she was probably going to tell him all about the half-breed thing and embellish it to make herself look all innocent so he'll feel sorry for her. just another thing he'll take the blame for. But he really needed to get his butt to work now or face the wrath of his Dad once he got there. Like that call from renée didn't piss him off enough. He's got to deal with this fucked up domestic drama later.
