I am scared of the possibility of a National government, and what that will mean for New Zealand. It frustrates me that the majority of New Zealanders appear to be politically naïve, and will probably vote National based on shallow reasons ( Read more... )

I'm with you there. I was actually going to vote for National because I believed there was no point in voting for any of the smaller parties. In looking back, I'm shocked that I was so influenced by media and speculation. After reading the policies (or therefore lack of in some parties' cases) I'm convinced that if other people read what each party stood for, they would change their vote in seconds.

Exactly. I want to force people to google each party, but unfortunately my mind control powers don't appear to be working.

Maybe if the parties actually spent some time explaining what their policies are instead of devoting all of their time to slagging one another off we might end up with a more intelligent parliment (and maybe even then a more intelligent NZ).
