seeing a grown man set fire to things and threaten children makes me want to call the cops more than it makes me want to celebrate him as an outsider
This is exactly why I have reservations about seeing that film. At certain points, I get all "someone think of the children!" and can't suspend my disbelief even for the sake of ~art. I'm sure his acting is as high-caliber as ever, but I'm not sure if even JGL and Natalie are going to be enough for me here.

Yeah, I couldn't get over the "that is a CHILD" factor. The kid goes through some pretty brutal crap throughout the movie, too, at the hands of a bully and of Hesher, not to mention the situation at home is pretty crappy.
